TIDE programme, phase 3: 5 maternity wards on solar
In late 2022, the maternity wards of five district hospitals in the East and Centre received their own solar systems.
In late 2022, the third phase of the TIDE programme equipped the maternity wards of five district hospitals: HD Abong-Mbang, HD Garoua-Boulaï, HD Yokadouma, HD Bétaré-Oya and HD Nanga-Eboko.
Each maternity ward has its own system, a 3.5 kVA inverter, 10 kWh battery and 12 × 320 Wp panels as on every site of the programme, so it runs without depending on an unstable grid or a generator.
