TIDE programme, phase 1: 13 East-region hospitals and health centres
Thirteen facilities powered for HIV testing and treatment across the East Region.
In September 2020, with the Georgetown Global Health office and the TIDE programme (funded by PEPFAR through the US CDC), we deployed thirteen 3.5 kVA solar systems at thirteen health facilities in the East Region.
They power computers and telecoms and, above all, the centrifuges and refrigeration needed to preserve HIV blood samples. Facilities: HD Messamena, HD Abong-Mbang, HD Nguelemendouka, HD Doumé, SFID Mbang, HD Bétaré-Oya, HD Garoua-Boulaï, HD Lomié, HD Batouri, HD Kétté, CMA Kentzou, HD Yokadouma, HD Salapoumbé.
