Solar-powered computer lab at Lycée Bilingue d’Essé (PADESC programme)
In a remote Centre-region village, solar power runs the school’s computer lab and office.
Between December 2023 and March 2024, under the PADESC programme, we designed and installed a solar system at Lycée Bilingue d’Essé, in a Centre-region village with unreliable electricity.
Phase 1 (December 2023): a 3 kVA solar system with a 400 Ah battery bank for the computer lab and the school office. Phase 2 (March 2024): a 65-inch interactive digital board.
The lab and its six computers now run around the clock, and school staff were trained to maintain and monitor the system.
